Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Will I be getting the best available seats?
Yes. Tickets issued online will be selected from the best available seats at the time of booking. Our online ticket office is connected real-time to our box office ticketing system.
When booking in person or via the phone you will automatically be offered best available unless you have a specific seating request.
Q. The online ticketing system refuses my email login address or password?
Is there a typo in your email address or perhaps your login password is incorrect? Return to the login window, and click the “Forgot my Password” button. A temporary login password will be emailed to you.
Q. I can’t exit the payment window?
The “Terms and Conditions” must be checked off, and all windows filled in. If information is missing, you will see an “Invalid” message at the top of the window which details what is missing.
Q. How can I be sure that my purchase was completed?
Your purchase is complete if you see a confirmation screen at the end of your transaction. You will then receive an email from Theatre Collingwood confirming your purchase.
If you receive any errors throughout your transaction that did not allow you to proceed further (or you exited the screen and have not received a confirmation email) then your purchase was not complete.
If you do not receive the confirmation email, we recommend that you check your junkmail folder in your inbox. If you have multiple email accounts, be sure to check the account corresponding to your online purchase.
There are times when email servers are busy…it may take a few extra minutes to arrive.
Q. I have lost my printed purchase confirmation and email - can I still retrieve my ticket information?
At any time, you can go to the Welcome window and click the “Display My Upcoming Performances” button at the bottom.
Q. Do I need to bring my confirmation, if I’m picking up tickets at the theatre?
Not necessary, as long as your ticketing transaction has been completed and you have received a confirming email. We will automatically have a record of your purchase.
It is recommended that you pick up your ticket at least half an hour before the performance.
Q. How do I know that my payment information is secure if I purchase a ticket online?
Theatre Collingwood provides online ticket sales via the Payment Card Industry (PCI) approved software, secured using SSL certificates and digital encryption - an Internet standard in securing online transactions. You can verify that you are using a secure connection; most browsers should display a secure lock symbol and allow you to view the certificate (ours has been issued by Geotrust). All data passed during the secure connection is encrypted and transferred with no chance of it being intercepted and used for any purpose other than the transaction you intend.
Your credit card details are never transferred or stored in a manner that is visible as 'clear text' - they are always encrypted and treated in a way that meets or exceeds the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security requirements.
For the best security you should make sure your browser has been upgraded to the most current version and verify the certificate (Geotrust) on the payment window before submitting any sensitive information.
Q. Because I am coming with friends, can I pay split my payment for online tickets onto multiple credit cards?
All ticket purchases must be paid for in a single transaction on one card. If you would like to split your purchase between multiple cards and patrons, you must contact the Theatre Collingwood Box Office.
Q. I think I made a mistake !
Occasionally, this happens to the best of us. As soon as you receive your confirmation email and realize there is a mistake – please contact us immediately so that we can help you resolve the error.
