The Gayety Theatre 161 Hurontario Street In downtown Collingwood

Call 445-2200 for tickets to Theatre Collingwood Productions.
The Gayety Theatre is a 365 seat proscenium arch theatre which has a sloped floor and padded seats offering good leg room in an intimate historic theatre setting. The building originated in 1911 as a movie house. The nostalgic integrity of “The Rex” originally purchased by Collingwood’s Russ family in the 1920’s has been preserved through the upgrades, retaining the charm and ambience associated with an ol’ vaudeville house. The theatre is air-conditioned.
- Only water is permitted in the theatre. Non-alcoholic beverages are available during intermission.
- Cameras, tape recorders, pagers and cellular phones are not permitted in the theatre. As a courtesy to the actors on stage and other audience members, wristwatch alarms should be reset. Please unwrap candies or cough drops before the show begins.
- Smoking on the premises is not permitted.
RESERVED SEATING
All seats are reserved - you are assigned a row and seat number. Seating is assigned as best available when you purchase your tickets, so you’ll want to make your decision right away.
Because our Main Box office is in another location, theatre tickets are available for pick-up in the Gayety Theatre lobby, one hour prior to showtime. Doors open to the audience chamber one-half hour prior to curtain.
BABES IN ARMS
Sorry, but for the comfort of all our patrons, babes in arms will not be admitted.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
While there are a few locations for wheelchairs, the wheelchair washroom facilities are only available next door at the Blue Mountain Foundation Gallery. There are however several convenient locations for 'walkers'.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO DOWNTOWN?
Collingwood's downtown is an officially designated heritage district – an excellent example of 19th century Ontario architecture. It has an elegant tree-lined main street with large-scale murals, art galleries and country chic shops. Depending on the time of day, you might even see police patrolling on horseback. Collingwood is a very charming rural Ontario town!
