Collingwood needs your assistance!
The Board of
Directors is seeking individuals with the skills and energy to
volunteer for a working committee.
The eleven-member
Board is responsible for the continued success of Theatre
Collingwood, which operates as a professional, non-profit charitable
organization. Ticket sales, expansion of the subscriber base and
ongoing special events initiatives ensure the company remains
financially viable.
The challenge is
to build the next generation of theatre-goers. We can use your help
through your participation in or more key areas:
Special
events Committee: organize fun,
fund-raising events such as our annual signature “Evening In”,
and explore new event ideas.
Development
Committee: increase the number of
financial donors and individual members and corporate sponsors.
Marketing
Committee: promote the theatre
company, increase the number of ticket buyers and broaden the
audience base.
These committees
are expected to meet once a month beginning in January 2011, with
some assigned tasks to be completed between meetings. The time
commitment will vary, perhaps 5-8 hours per month.
Volunteering is a
great way to broaden personal experience in the performing arts, be
part of a creative, dynamic theatre company, and network with a
diverse group of individuals from all sectors and backgrounds.
Your involvement
will have a long-lasting impact on culture in our community.
